The Binoculist is a general-interest online newspaper for contemporary readers on the continent of Africa. Like typical binoculars, it is out to see beyond just the ordinary of today to the extraordinary of the future. While envisioning what it can see in the belly of tomorrow as we chronicle activities of the people, special attention would be directed at setting the long-term agenda for the development of the African continent. This publication would maintain its professional role as the fourth estate of the realm by ensuring that the daily pursuits of the struggling people on the continent is well mirrored for posterity. Special attention would be given to Nigeria by ensuring that issues that would make the lives of the downtrodden better are acknowledged. And this would be done by flaunting long-term developmental goals of the people through the human-angle perception, which would make them better informed. We are poised to analyse every aspect of the daily lives of Africans in our continent to take it from where it is now to the next level of information management.
